Th Honest To Goodness Truth About Fire Sales

Ok..since this blog is relatively new..this will be my first rant if you will...

Now...before I tell you what I'm ranting about let me first say this...I am a true fan of marketing. I like to study what works what doesn't and why. Once I've answered those questions, I pass it on to people like yourself.

Anyway...my issue is with fire sales...you've probably seen them before. Where some marketer claims that he or she has some highly sought after information that they are basically giving away because of their ridiculously low price. And you better get them now because they only have 100 copies available..and once thery're gone they will never offer anything like it again.

Don't buy it...it's a scam..

Yep...it's a quick way to plant the seed of urgency into your mind and an easy way to get you to make an emotional decision.

Why do they do this?

Because they know that it's part of your human nature to use your emotions first and justify your purchase later with logic. But by then it's too late.

What these marketers should do instead of having a fire sale is provide honest, useful, quality content that their readers can use. Then there wouldn't be no need for fire sales. Their customers would be eagerly awaiting their next product.
